The following are courses & workshops currently being offered by East Bridgewater Community Access Media to our Members:

Orientation

This monthly 2 hour workshop is offered by appointment each month and is Free and with no obligation to all new members. The Orientation covers all the rules & procedures for the facility, a question and answer period and tour of the facility.

“How to Effectively Use Your Home Camcorder”

Learn all the tricks of the Television trade & how to shoot better video using your own camcorder! This 3 hour workshop shows you what all the buttons and switches do on your camcorder. Students must bring their own camcorder and operating manual to class with them.

Basic Field Production

This 4 session, two hour per session workshop teaches the fundamentals of Basic Television Field Production. The course meets on four consecutive Tuesday nights. Learn how to use a camcorder to shoot great video. Learn how a portable lighting kit will make your show look just like the network shows. Learn about sound equipment and how to use special microphones.

Basic Studio Production

The 4 session, two hour per class course takes place on four consecutive Friday evenings in May. This course teaches the fundamentals of Basic Television Studio Production. Learn how to operate a studio camera. Learn how to direct a TV show just like the network shows. Learn about studio sound equipment and how to choose the right microphone. Learn about television graphics.

Remote Mobile Production Van

Learn all the tricks to creating a three camera video production using EBCAM’s State of the Art Mobile Production Van! This is a Three-session workshop, which shows you what all the buttons and switches in the Van do and shows you how to plan, stage and complete a “Remote” Production of your own. Students will work outside and do hands on activities in and with the Van when weather is permitting.

Adobe Photoshop

Learn all the tricks to manipulating digital photos and creating artistic and even silly photos. Want to stand next to Abraham Lincoln? Adobe Photoshop can do it! Want to salvage an old photograph? Adobe Photoshop can do it! Students may bring in their own digital photos or regular photos (which can be scanned into the PC) and have hands on activities with the computer.

Each Summer EBCAM Offers Two Kids Video Summer Camps @ East Bridgewater Community Television

In July there is a One Week, Basic Video Summer Camp for Children for Ages 8-10 Years Old

The Basic Camp introduces Video Campers to Studio & Field Video Technology and uses practical hands on activities to cover Interview Techniques, Video Camera Angles, and Video Production. This Week-Long Camp is offered in July from the 21st through the 25th. That’s Monday through Friday from 9 am to 12 noon each day. Fun Activities! Make New Friends! Learn about Video & Video Production!

At the End of July & beginning of August there is a Two Week ADVANCED CAMP. This Teen Advanced Video Camp is for Ages 11-14 Years Old. Teen Video Campers cover a preliminary review of studio & field production and then learned advanced skills in Non-Linear Video Editing. The students create their own projects, such as Autobiographies, Biographies of their favorite person, Music Videos, Animations, Silent Movies, and Instructional Programs.

This 2-Week Camp expands teens Media Literacy Skills and starts the skills they’ll need for careers in Television, Video, and Motion Pictures. This TWO-Week Long Camp is offered in August from the 11th through the 15th and the 18th through the 22nd. That’s Monday through Friday from 9 am to –12 noon each day. Learn how to create your own Documentary with music, images, special effects & your very own narration!
