For immediate release:

East Bridgewater Community Television is getting a new name. EBCTV, which has served the town of East Bridgewater since June, 2000, will soon become East Bridgewater Community Access Media (EBCAM).

According to the president of the EBCTV (EBCAM) Board of Directors, Steve Brown, the reasons are obvious. “We have grown and evolved into much more than just a Public, Educational and Government Access Television Center. We have become a focal point for the East Bridgewater Community and their use of multiple social media platforms.” Mr. Brown went on to say that the name change reflects the future of EBCTV which is becoming EBCAM.

The newly designed logo represents the three P.E.G. Channels which can be seen on Comcast Cable Television in East Bridgewater but also includes a fourth icon to represent their Video on Demand Services. “Our spirit is still in PEG,” according to EBCAM Executive Director Russ Hannagan,” but we are also looking towards the future.” The rebranding also included a massive upgrade to the station’s master control system which boasts the capability of live streaming all three P.E.G. channels in High Definition on the new EBCAM website as well as HD Videos on Demand that are also available on the website.

Upgrades also included an entirely re-worked website at www.eb-cam.org utilizing the new features of the master control room functions and improved graphics and design created by Steve Culp of Culp Design in East Bridgewater. Culp Design also produced the Town’s Department of Public Works re-imagined logo which is so popular.

“We’re hoping that with these technical improvements that we can also further work with Comcast, our cable provider, to telecast us on High Definition on the cable system for local subscribers, just like all the other channels,” EB-CAM Board President Steve Brown stated.

East Bridgewater Community Access Media’s Website continues to offer Free Video on Demand Service at www.eb-cam.org. EBCAM will also maintain links from the old website to the new website so folks can smoothly transition to the new address but changes are underway. Staff now has email addresses that end with eb-cam.org and the new logo is now adorning door entrances, the station’s production van as well as all paperwork, letterhead and business cards
